In nearby Taunton you will find great shopping and the Somerset County Cricket Ground, several theatres, a multi screen cinema, bowling alley, spas and just out of town a polo ground and several golf courses. There is also a comprehensive year round events programme.
The coast is also close by if you fancy a day at the beach surfing or just enjoying a good book in the sun.

- Coleridge Way - a 36 mile waymarked walk through the stunning Somerset countryside of the Quantock Hills, the Brendon Hills and Exmoor following in the footsteps of the romantic poet Coleridge (www.coleridgeway.co.uk).
